A mother lioness reigns as both queen and guardian. Her unwavering LOVE, fierce with enduring strength is testament to the enduring strength that pulses through the heart of every mother.

In a realm where survival is an art, she imparts the wisdom she was taught by her mother to her offspring, teaching them the language of the hunt, survival, and the bonds that tie the pride together. This moms one amber eye has been damaged which makes her role even harder in the harsh African bush. Sitting observing their antics I noticed a special bond with one of her cubs, the baby boy on the right of her shoulder in this image, very Precious! Often the females back each other up in looking after their precious cubs which was the case on this magical day in the Kgalagadi Transfronteir Park.
