Into Silence
Price range: R1,600.00 through R22,000.00
Into Silence draws the viewer through layers of red gates, shadow and repetition into a space that feels quieter, slower and removed from the outside world.
Captured in Japan, the image carries a sense of stillness, passage and quiet reflection inspired by the sacred pathways.
Into Silence explores the feeling of moving beyond noise and into stillness.
Captured along the sacred torii pathways of Japan, the repeating red gates create a rhythm of shadow, depth and quiet immersion. Each layer draws the eye further inward, evoking a sense of passage, reflection and calm presence.
Traditionally, these gates mark the transition from the outer world into sacred space. Surrounded by darkness and silence, the image becomes less about place and more about atmosphere, emotion and the experience of moving inward.
The deep reds, soft shadows and endless repetition create a work that feels both grounding and quietly powerful.
Designed for refined interiors, hospitality spaces and collectors drawn to atmosphere, stillness and understated beauty.
